2017 Chevy Bolt EV has Futuristic Tech that Allows Drivers to Compete
The Chevy Bolt is officially one of America’s best-selling cars with thousands sold each and every month. GM’s innovative; zero-emission EV car has broken GM sales records and is quickly becoming one of this year’s hottest vehicles across the board.
The 2017 Chevy Bolt EV was introduced at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV to massive crowds and excited applause. The vehicle represents Chevrolet’s long-term commitment to developing long-range, affordable electric vehicles that satisfy the needs of every American.
“It was less than a year ago that we revealed the Bolt EV concept and promised to deliver a long-range electric vehicle attainable by the masses,” Mary Barra, GM Chairman, and CEO said in a recent interview. “The Bolt EV is capable of using the latest mobile app technology to enable car sharing, advanced GPS routing, and gamification, all designed to enhance the ownership experience now and into the future.”
That’s right. Because developing a vehicle which is able to drive for over 200 miles on a single full battery charge wasn’t enough, Chevy designed the Bolt as a crown jewel in its line of technologically-advanced vehicles.
During the design process for the 2017 Bolt EV, the automaker took the suggestions and ideas of Chevy Volt owners seriously in order to create the most effective, desirable vehicle possible. What they came up with was a car packed full of technologies that specifically work to make owning a long-range electric vehicle easy and painless.
One of the 2017 Bolt EV’s most exciting features is its new EV navigation mapping. The system works by custom designing routes to maximize the vehicle’s range and even provides the locations of nearby charging stations if needed. The car also features a whole “gamification” system which will enable Bolt owners in the future to “compete” by comparing driving styles to determine who is driving with the highest efficiency. Chevy hopes that some friendly competition will encourage drivers to develop better, more environmentally-friendly habits.
Other features included in the 2017 Bolt EV range from the 10.2-inch MyLink color touchscreen display with customizable graphics to Chevy Surround Vision which gives drivers a bird’s-eye view of everything around the vehicle for improved safety during low-speed driving and parking. The Bolt’s driver-focused technologies are supported by OnStar 4G LTE, a handy little component that turns the car into a high-speed Wi-Fi hotspot for easier access to apps and services.
Out of all of this year’s new Chevy models, the 2017 Chevy Bolt is absolutely one of the best vehicles available for drivers who are ready to invest in a tech-savvy, environmentally-friendly future.
