Things You Need to Know About the 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500
It’s here folks…. The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado is hitting our lot with some of the best specs in the industry. Chevy fans have yet another thing to be excited about with new styling, new engines, and much more.
Leading us off at number one is size. The 2019 Silverado 1500 isn’t just lighter, it’s also got a wheel base that is 3.9 inches longer than the current pickup truck. The new model year adds seven inches of extra floor width in the bed. The new truck is 1.6 inches longer than previous models making the 2019 model year bigger and better than ever.
The 2019 Silverado has new and improved rear-seating with plenty of space in the four-door crew cab. Super tall? Not a problem in a Chevy; with the leg room growing from 40.9 inches to 43.8 inches there is room for everyone! There is storage space in the rear seatbacks along with under the seat bottoms to fit all your needs.
Chevy offers a total of not one, not two, but six different powertrain combinations. But we are not done yet- two new gasoline V-8 engines are here too! A 5.3 liter unit and a 6.2 liter are promised to improve efficiency by GM’s new Dynamic Fuel Management system. A diesel 3.0 liter inline-six is also an option.
Let’s talk trims with the total of eight trim levels on the new 2019 Chevy models. The base trim features 17-inch steel wheels, cloth or vinyl seats, and a smooth black exterior trim. The base truck also features a seven- inch touchscreen system in the center along with a throwback grille design. Options for custom trims are available as well as the Z71 Off Road package.
The middle of the Silverado line up is the LT trim. The sporty bow-tie badge in the front adds a bit of chrome, LED lights, and an eight-inch touchscreen center. The Trail boss features all of the off-road equipment for whatever comes your way!
