Thank You For Attending Our Annual Toys for Tots Event at Apple Chevy!
The holiday season was in full swing at Apple Chevrolet in Tinley Park as we hosted our annual Toys for Tots Toy Drive on Saturday, December 14th with. From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., we united with our community to bring holiday spirit to local children in need during the holidays. This year’s event featured live music, delicious food, and special guest appearances from Santa Claus and the U.S. Marine Corps! Thanks to your incredible generosity, the toy drive was an amazing success, and we’re thrilled to share the highlights with you!
Spreading Holiday Hope
Throughout the holiday season, we collected new, unwrapped toys to support the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. Every donation helped bring joy to children and families in the Chicago area, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to this meaningful cause. So far, we have collected approximately 4,000 toys, and the donations are still coming in! We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated a toy and participated in this year’s event.
2025 Chevy Trax Giveaway
Adding to the excitement, participants that dropped off a toy were able to nominate a loved one to win a brand-new 2025 Chevrolet Trax! Those who brought in a toy donation were entered into the giveaway, and the winner was drawn on Saturday, December 14th. This special giveaway was our way of saying thank you to the community and helping one lucky individual surprise a loved one with the ultimate gift of a new car. We’ll be announcing our lucky winner in the coming days…
Honoring Ryan Plowman’s Legacy
This year’s toy drive also featured a heartfelt tribute to Ryan Plowman, a beloved member of the Apple Chevrolet family who passed away in 2022 at just 17 years old. In Ryan’s honor, we continued our tradition of collecting and donating bikes to children in need—a cause close to Ryan’s heart. Over the past three years, we’ve donated nearly 300 bikes in total, and thanks to your support, we were able to add even more this year. This year we have collected 111 bikes (and counting)! Ryan’s love for cycling lives on through the generosity of our community.
