Chevy’s New Three-Row Traverse is Looking Sleek
Offer a lot for families, the 2021 Traverse features a quiet ride, sharp handling, and more cargo space than its competitors. While the current Traverse was introduced in 2017, the 2021 Chevy Traverse changes are expected to be wide-ranging upgrades to the entire vehicle, with the Traverse release date in 2020. With seating for up to eight passengers across three-rows, best-in-class cargo space, and the latest technology to keep you entertained and safe, the Chevrolet Traverse full-size SUV lets you make the most of every drive.
Exterior
On the exterior, Chevrolet added narrow LED headlights and more square, blockier styling elements. Additionally, turn signal indicators have been integrated into the daytime running lamps behind the lower intakes, the two grille sections that are separated by a bowtie now join together more cohesively, and the lower vents and fog lights have undergone a redesign. Like the front, the rear will feature new LED lights. Finally, four new wheel designs compliment the overall look of the vehicle.
Interior
Traverse interior pictures reveal the vehicle’s inside is similarly upgraded with new features. It now offers an 8-inch Infotainment System display, wireless connectivity to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a convenient Smart Slide second-row seat to give you easy access to the vehicles third row, and an available SkyScape dual-panel power sunroof.
Color & Features
Additionally, Chevrolet is offering new upholstery colors and trims for the Traverse. The model has several available trim levels and multiple special editions. With the newest model, the Traverse High Country colors include Satin Steel Metallic, Silver Ice Metallic, Summit White, Mosaic Black Metallic, Black Cherry Metallic, and Graphite Metallic. This level will feature power-folding third-row seats, adaptive cruise control with enhanced automatic emergency braking, a SkyScape dual-panel power sunroof, premium perforated leather-appointed front and second-row seats with suede inserts and third-row vinyl, a hands-free power liftgate, the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium with Navigation System, and unique chrome grille with 20-inch polished-aluminum wheels.
Meanwhile, the bold and sophisticated Redline Editions features 20-inch high-gloss Black wheels with Red accents, signature Black Ice grille and fog lamp bezels, Gloss Black window trim, Black roof rails, Black bowtie emblems and signature Black and Red badging, dark tail lamps, and Black-painted lower moldings with Black Ice inserts.
Safety
In terms of safety features, the all-new Traverse makes some technology standard that was previously optional. This technology includes automated emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, forward collision alert, automatic high-beam controls, and a following distance indicator. On the SLT, RS, and Premier trims, adaptive cruise control is now available, and Safety Alert Seat, a feature that vibrates the driver’s seat to warn of potential hazards, is standard on Premier and High Country editions.
While the 2021 model’s prices have not yet been announced, it is expected that it will increase slightly from the 2020 model’s price, which started at $30,995.
