The Chevy Equinox is a compact crossover, a best-selling model outside pick-up trucks, that is produced by America’s second-largest manufacturer. General Motors introduces the all-new third-edition Chevy Equinox. The all-new Chevy Equinox lost almost 400 pounds, 4.7 inches of length, and 5.2 inches between the axles compared to the older model. These new dimensions sharped up the look and feel of the Equinox. Buyers can pick from a range of trim options.
The four trim levels of the 2019 Chevy Equinox are the L, LS, LT, and Premier and all trim levels except for the Equinox L can be loaded with optional all-wheel drive. The L and LS trim levels can only be equipped with the standard 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. The 1.5L Turbo engine works with the standard 6-Speed automatic transmissions for optimal fuel efficiency on the city or highway.
On top of the standard 1.5L Turbo engine, the LT and Premier trim levels have the option of being equipped with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine or a 1.6L turbo-diesel engine. The 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder engine works with a 9-speed automatic transmission to produce 260 lb-ft of torque. The 1.6L turbo-diesel 4-cylinder works with a 6-speed automatic transmission and produces 137 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque.
Standard safety features include an extensive airbag system, automatic emergency braking, following distance indicator, forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, dual-note horn, LED daytime running lamps, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, OnStar & Chevrolet connected services capable, rear seat reminder, rear vision camera, and so many more! all of these safety features were designed with you in mind.
Not only does this crossover have amazing safety features, but it also has an extraordinary exterior! For instance, this vehicle comes standard with a 16” compact spare tire, 16’ steel spare wheel, 17” all-season Blackwell tires, an acoustic laminated windshield, active aero shutters, automatic on/off headlamps, body-color door handles with chrome surround, bright lower window trim, and so many more!
Inside and out, the updated features look great on the Equinox. Interestingly enough, the interior features in this crossover have shrunk giving passengers more interior space for themselves and their cargo. That means nearly 40 inches of legroom for the rear passengers and 30 cubic feet for luggage. Storage spaces and USB charging ports are abundant in this Chevy.
