The 2018 Chevy Impala is the latest full-size sedan from Chevrolet–it’s a classic, for sure, but this time the Impala is back with a twist. The new vehicle is bigger and bolder (in looks as well as in attitude) than ever before. The new Impala has more storage space, features a high-tech interior that competes with even the most cutting-edge vehicles, and boasts killer fuel efficiency to rival just about any hybrid on the market. The 2018 Chevy Impala is here to take names and kick its competitors to the curb.
For those who aren’t sure how much they’d like to spend or how many of the 2018 Impala’s remarkable new features they want to take advantage of, the vehicle is available in three unique trim levels: the LS, the LT, and the Premier. Compared to last year’s model, each of the trim levels has received fresh upgrades with improved technology features (including the addition of Remote Start) and an increased range of standard safety features.
For example, the 2018 Chevy Impala LS might be the lowest trim level available for the new vehicle, but drivers can still expect to enjoy features like power-adjustable, manual-folding mirrors and 18-inch steel wheels with fascia-spoke wheel covers. The Impala LT, however, includes upgraded components like 18-inch painted alloy wheels, outside heated power-adjustable, manual-folding integrated turn signal mirrors, and daytime running lamps.
Drivers who are looking for something a bit more luxurious will definitely be pleased by the 2018 Chevy Impala Premier model, which features outside heated power-adjustable integrated turn signal auto-dimming chrome mirrors, High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps, chrome accents, and 19-inch machined-face aluminum wheels.
Inside, the Premier trim level includes comfort-enhancing items like eight-way power heated and ventilated front seats, a Bose Centerpoint Surround System with 11 speakers, available Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Alert, and the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system with an eight-inch color touchscreen.
All 2018 Chevy Impala vehicles are available with two engine options. First, drivers can opt for the base level Ecotech 2.5-liter DOHC four-cylinder DI engine that creates 197 horsepower and 191 lb-ft of torque. Alternatively, you can spring for the 3.6-liter DOHC V6 DI engine, which generates 305 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque. The 2.5-liter engine will get you an estimated 22/30 mpg city/highway while the 3.6-liter will earn an estimated 19/28 mpg city/highway.
