Chevrolet Introduces A New Team for the Silverado 2500 HD
A partnership was recently announced by Chevrolet for the Chevy Silverado — we just don’t know why it hasn’t happened sooner! Chevrolet has announced the new Team Chevy Rodeo: a group of professional rodeo stars including Tuf Cooper, Fallon Taylor, Luke Branquinho, Travis Graves, and Richmond Champion.
The team is comprised of rodeo stars that will be driving the new Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD High Country pickup trucks. This paring is a perfect fit for this group as the 2016 Silverado 2500 HD is designed to make even the dirty work easy. With integrated cruise control, powertrain grade braking, and a diesel exhaust braking to assist with towing the 2016 Silverado can definitely take what these cowboys can throw at it. The Silverado 2500 won’t have a problem hauling all that gear around with its Duramax turbodiesel engine, and the premium cab accommodations will provide the comfort after a hard day’s work.
Fallon Taylor will be holding down the team in barrel racing and has been winning at the rodeo since she was a teenager. Even after suffering a broken vertebra in 2009 she pushed forward and won her first title in 2014 riding her horse Babyflo. Luke Branquinho will also be representing the Chevy team in Steer Wrestling. Raised in Santa Maria California, Branquinho is the most decorated member of Team Chevy. With over two million dollars in career earnings so far, Branquinho has preserved through setbacks like diabetes and season ending injuries to compete and win.
Richmond Champion just sounds like the perfect Bareback Rider’s name, and he lives up to it. Last year Champion became the first man in a rodeo to win $1 million dollars in one day when he took first place at The American. Travis Graves rounds out the new Team Chevy Rodeo team with his Team Roping (Heeling) skills. Graves had early success winning the International Finals Youth Rodeo heeling title in 2001. He has continued this streak having success climbing the world standings being a five-time WNFR qualifier landing second place in 2014.
