The Equinox is Going All-Electric
Chevrolet’s top-selling SUV changes the game in a way never done before with the first-ever all-electric Equinox. Built from the ground up, the Chevy Equinox EV harnesses the power of Ultium. The Equinox EV comes in a series of introductions by Chevrolet is their vision for an all-electric future. Several of the brand’s most popular models will have an electric version in the 2022 lineup, like the electric Silverado and Blazer. Taking the Equinox into the Future
Scheduled to hit dealers in Fall 2023, the electric Equinox offers customers an affordable, functional compact SUV that will start at an estimated MSRP of around $30,000 in the U.S. It is planned to launch with both fleet and retail versions, as well as two trim levels. Like the recently debuted Silverado EV, the electric SUV will also leverage GM’s Ultium Platform.
Steve Hill, Vice President of Chevrolet, said, “The Equinox has always played an important role for Chevrolet as the second-highest selling brand nameplate. Providing an affordable EV option in the industry’s highest volume segment proves Chevy is going to make EVs available to everyone.”
Sneak Peek at the New Electric SUV
Along with the full debut of the Chevrolet Silverado EV, the brand released images of the all-electric crossover. The Equinox EV exterior appears to feature a sleeker and more modern updated look of the traditional Equinox, and it has more dramatically sculpted sides for a sophisticated, futuristic look.
Equinox EV LT Interior
The sneak peek also revealed the Equinox EV will come in two trim levels: LT and RS. The RS model shows a two-tone red and black interior adorned with screens that cover almost two-thirds of the dashboard. The LT, on the other hand, features a silver interior with a silver and black exterior color scheme. Chevrolet plans for the RS to be available Fall 2023 with availability for the LT to be announced at a later date.
