Driverless Cars Coming Soon. Are You Ready?

Despite murky legal waters, California is ready to start issuing licenses for driverless vehicles come September of this year, according to TechCrunch.
With Google leading the way, manufacturers are spending their own time and money developing driverless cars. It seems driverless cars will begin showing up soon. Are you ready to turn over your driving to the car itself?
Johnson Controls estimates that “80%-90% of the task of driving will be automated by 2025,” according to Dave Muyres, executive director-global product innovation for JCI. This creates interesting conjecture about how drivers/passengers will spend that time now devoted to driving.
At the WardsAuto 2014 Interiors Conference, panelists speculated that auto interiors will fill that time with entertainment and comfort as well as family interaction. Instead of driving, passenger will be able to focus on their children and each other.
According to a recent J.D. Power survey this year, 24% of Americans that responded showed an interest in an autonomous-driving vehicle. How about you?
