Chevy Tahoe Tossed 200 Yards by Tornado – All Survive
Tahoe destroyed – passengers slightly injured but survive.
The Chevy Tahoe that is driven by the WeatherChannel’s Tornado Hunt’s Mike Bettes and team was picked up and thrown 200 yards by a tornado in El Reno, Oklahoma Friday. Rolling in from the prairie, tornados ploughed through Oklahoma on Friday. Bettes and his photographers are “tornado chaser” who were suddenly being the chased. They lost the chase and were picked up by the tornado and thrown 200 yards through the air.
“That was the scariest moment of my life,” Bettes said. “I had never been through anything like it before, and my life passed before my eyes.”
All of the passengers were wearing their seatbelts in the Tahoe. All walked away with minor injuries.
