The Most Dog Gone Crazy Chevy Van on Craigslist
How much do you love Chevy vans? If you’re like us here at Apple Chevrolet, you love them lots. Of course everyone will get on board with a brand new Chevrolet van, but, the true test may be if you’re willing to cruise around town in a Chevrolet van that is disguised as a sheep dog. If you’ve seen the Dumb and Dumber movies then you have a pretty good idea of what that would look like. We think we’d look pretty smart in this Dogmobile, but of course, we are a little biased.
An ad for said vehicle was recently spotted on Craigslist in Michigan. The van in question is a 1995 Chevy with an asking price of a mere four grand. The sellers insist that the smiles the new owner will gain from this van will be well worth the price. They insist that this is not the van from the previously mentioned movie. That van, they say, could cost millions. Probably not though.
The sellers list some facts about the van they lovingly, and accurately, call the Sheep Dog. It’s covered in carpet, yet they insist it does not need to be stored in a garage. That seems somewhat suspicious. Unlike a wet dog they claim the “fur” won’t stink after getting wet. They also caution the “windows work when they want to”. Not an encouraging sign, but they insist the inside remains so comfortable you may never need to open the windows anyway. There are four captains seats which is a huge selling point and the owners claim the Sheep Dog can hit 80 miles per hour if necessary. Perhaps the biggest incentive is the floppy dog eared hat they’ll throw in at no extra charge.
Another selling point, according to the owners, is that this van makes a great starter vehicle for a new driver. The carpeting will disguise any dings or dents and there’s no paint to scratch. Also, the carpeting itself acts as a cushiony protective layer that will reduce the impact of any low speed collisions. Is that enough to sell you on this sheepish van? If yes, you better act fast before someone else scoops up this doggy and makes a killing as the most popular Uber driver in town.
