Thank You for Joining Us at the USO BBQ for the Troops Event at Apple Chevy!
On Saturday, July 13th, Apple Chevrolet in Tinley Park hosted a memorable USO BBQ for the Troops event, uniting the community for a fantastic cause. The event, held at our dealership located at 8585 W 159th St, Tinley Park, IL, ran from 11 am to 3 pm and was a resounding success. We thank every one that was able to join us at our Tinley Park Chevy dealership over the weekend.
A Day of Delicious Food and Fun
From the moment guests arrived, they were greeted with the mouthwatering aroma of BBQ and delicious food from Joey’s Red Hots. Alongside the BBQ, guests indulged in a variety of delectable foods and refreshing gelato, perfect for the warm summer day.
Classic Cars and Military Vehicles
Car enthusiasts were in for a treat with a stunning display of classic cars and military vehicles. The gleaming paint and polished chrome of vintage cars brought a nostalgic touch, while the military vehicles served as a powerful reminder of the brave men and women who serve our country.
Live Music from Duck and Cover Band
Adding to the lively atmosphere, Duck and Cover Band took the stage, delivering an energetic performance that had everyone tapping their feet and singing along. We had a great time listening to live music and gathering with the Tinley Park community!
Special Guests and Media Coverage
We were honored to have Bob Sirott from WGN Radio join us for the event. His presence, along with coverage from WGN Radio and WGN TV, added a touch of excitement and helped spread the word about our cause.
Supporting the USO of Illinois
The heart of the event was our mission to support the USO of Illinois. All donations collected during the BBQ will go directly to benefit this incredible organization, which provides essential services to military personnel and their families. Thank you for your donations and support!
CATA’s BBQ Raised Over $80,000 for the USO Illinois
CATA’s 11th annual BBQ for the Troops raised over $81,000 for USO Illinois, bringing the program’s total to more than $1.2 million.
