Here Comes the 2016 Chevy Cruze
Apple Chevrolet, your Chicagoland Chevy dealer, is excited to make room for the incoming new line of one of America’s favorite compact cars.  It seems like the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze just came to our facility and now there is eager anticipation to bring the latest model out to join the family.  Chevrolet just released the teaser image of the new model, a darker and sportier version than its predecessor and its online release is going to be in at the end of the month.
Detroit will see the first official release on June 24th.  It joins the rest of the gang of the “Five in ‘15†campaign lineup along with the 2016 Volt, Malibu, Spark, and Camaro. The new Volt came first in the year with the Malibu and Spark debuting in April and the Camaro not far behind in May.  All these new releases mean that Chevy will have 85 percent of its vehicles be brand new and 95 percent of models will be less than 3 years old.
So what is new with the Cruze? To start off, there will be more room in the back seat. Â Passengers in the rear will enjoy having two more inches of leg room. On paper, two inches does not seem like a lot but it can make a real difference in comfort, especially in a compact vehicle. Â With that increase in room, there will be a decrease in the overall weight of the vehicle. Â A lighter Cruze is a more fuel-efficient Cruze. Â These adjustments do not change the high safety ratings of the vehicle so owners can feel secure driving in the newest compact car design. The Cruze is also more stylish inside and out.
The 2016 Chevy Cruze is one of the fore-runners in offering both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, keeping customers connected to their electronics better than ever. Â Under the hood, Chevrolet is introducing a new seven-speed dual clutch transmission, which is a first in this segment.
All of these exciting new models will not be hitting showrooms until the beginning of next year, but there will be plenty of information releases and reports to get us salivating in the meantime.
