Number One among 240 models, Chevy Volt has ranked highest for owner-satisfaction for the second straight year in a row by Consumer Reports, with 92% of Volt owners saying they would definitely buy the car again.
Other fuel efficient cars scored highly pointing to a trend of enthusiasm for fuel-saving vehicles.
The award is some vindication for GM and Chevrolet who have said they wish to immulate Apple (computer company). Somewhat of a cult has flourished around the Volt with online communities or forums popping up for discussions among proud owners. Some owners have claimed thousands of miles between gas fill-ups.
Sales of the Volt, despite falling short of original expectations, have soared in 2012 in year over year comparisons. Chevy sold over 19,000 Volts in October, outselling all other plug-in electric vehicles.
Chevy Corvette took top spot in the sports car category giving Chevrolet two of the most appreciated and loved cars in the U.S.
